Wurst Times Festival 5: “Right to Wurst;” Complete Lineup Announced
Wurst Times Festival V will take place on Saturday, May 23rd running from 11 am – 7 pm. The festival will once again be located at the 701 East Washington complex with two indoor stages and an outdoor stage. The musical lineup (see below) is a broad range of talent and is quite impressive.
Wurst Times is locally run by caring individuals and raises funds for local groups. WTF focuses on sweet harmony rather than cacophony of divisiveness and we want everyone to be able to afford to participate and celebrate Wisconsin unity. Wurst Times Festival is a working class benefit. The charitable beneficiaries this year will be the Madison Area Music Association and Second Harvest Food Bank. Non-perishable food donations will be accepted and will get you a reduced entry which is suggested $10 donation.
The fifth annual Wurst Times Festival showcases the genius of many Madison bands on multiple stages. The High Noon Saloon will feature your favorite MAMA musicians while The Brass Ring stage will feature local singer-songwriters and acoustic acts. The outdoor stage will captivate with great performances from a variety of musical acts.
WTF V will feature locally made, flavorful brats from Hosely’s Meats. Vegetarians can also satiate their appetites with Tofurky brats. Want a pick-me-up in the morning? Arrive early for free JavaCat coffee.
Brats will be priced at an affordable $3 (or 2 for $5) and event beer is $4. The venues will also be open and offering their full range of products.
Organizer Rodney Knocke is to be commended for his years of hard work in building this event from a small get-together in a park to a lively, fun and meaningful act that showcases plenty of local talent. Other sponsors include Heid Music, Amsterdam and Pacific Cycle who are donating a bicycle to be raffled.
